Counseling Beliefs

We believe:

All students can learn given the necessary academic and social support and guidance.

We are leaders, advocates & collaborators in promoting academic achievement, career development, and positive mental health for all students.

All students have value, the ability to contribute, and strengths that can be applied to achieve their goals.

The school counseling program should utilize a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program to meet the needs of every student.

Every student has the right to actively participate in a comprehensive school counseling program led by a qualified and competent school counselor.

Counselors have an obligation to participate in professional development activities essential to maintaining a quality school counseling program.

In the value of developing relationships with students.

Counselors should adhere to the ASCA Ethical Standards and NACAC's Standards and Principles of Good Practice.
